"Der Verleger" describes the life of Axel Springer. Cine plus supplied breath-taking pictures which merged historical material with material shot on location, thus using visual effects to underline the authenticity of the story told. By compositing several layers at a VFX workstation, it was possible to incorporate today's actors into historical images.
Experienced visual effects supervisors were already involved at the pre-production stage and gave advice during shooting.
