LexiTV doesn't omit a letter when it comes to advancing general education. This innovative co-production by MDR and cine plus comprises a 60-minute TV magazine programme and a multimedia Internet knowledge database that is unique in its field. LexiTV is a cross-media education project, one of the first successful examples of a project implementing the call for more media convergence. This opinion is shared by the Thuringia Ministry of Education, which has integrated LexiTV into school Media Studies. The online portal www.lexi-tv.de takes up the topics covered by the respective programme and backs it up with comprehensive, in-depth information. The enormous possibilities offered by the Internet in the teaching field require a clear-cut didactic conception that is under constant development in cooperation with universities, educational institutions and independent funding providers. LexiTV Online is a cine plus Leipzig production and was funded by the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung (East German Office for Media Funding).
