NIMM DIR DEIN LEBEN tells the story of eighteen-year old Milan who lives in the village of Dunkelhäuser near the Polish border. The hare-hunter and potato-schnapps distiller grows up with his tyrannical father, but with no mother. The only people who live in
his village are extremely stubborn and unworldly farmers who have got use to the rather comical life in their self-contained microcosm.
