The "Dictionary of the Senses" is a video installation on the
language of film, loosely based on the Grimm brothers' German
historical dictionary. In this film project, four young artists and
film students from Germany and France (Baran bo Odar, Augustin Gimel,
Athanasios Karanikolas and Studio Soi) join forces to examine the
following cinematic elements: form, language, colour, movement,
sound and rhythm. Each of these elements are dealt with in a
separate film, projected onto a triptych-like screen.
